Okay so I'm having some growing pains here that I wanted to share in hope there is solution that I haven't quite arrived at.
The joy of Outlook is the multiple task panes that allow the visualization of incoming mail and the actual e-mail in another task pane. Additionally, you have a task pane that shows you your e-mail folders. What I've come to find is that the SRGmail feed in my personalized google page is limiting only to the inbox visualization and that I have to double click to actually open the e-mail. Seems to be a little taxing in the way of time and I am curious if the Outlook task pane functionality is something that can be achieved through our google home page.
Thoughts?
I could be jumping the gun a little bit on the feedback as I'm unsure if the beta testing has begun or if we are in the process of getting set up still.

Warren - As this is still in Beta, we are not quite there yet, but it is an eventuality. On you Personalized homepage you will have individual sections for each of these items. In addition, using tabbed browsing in Firefox, you can open each item on it's own page, start page, email, calendar, but they are all consolidated in one browser window.
